It's massive I can't believe it. Loads of lush girls too!
Marc Gwyn, Swansea
Can get really good in storm swells. Gets very busy in the winter and watch out for the locals at crab. Even though this place only picks up some swell it can get double overhead out back, can get wedgy and hollow when the swell is big.
Ian Taylor, Hinckley
This break is otherwise known as gangland, not a friendly bunch!!
Anon, Swansea
A great wave if you get it at the right time and works best at low to mid tide. It has various breaks for all but not really a beginners break, has lots of rocks and can get very crowded at times, is best left to the locals.
Anon, Swansea
A good spot, but the localism is pretty heavy! There are many different reefs in Langland that are definitely worth checking out. So if you don't mind localism head off to Langland but otherwise stay at home.
Tom, Swansea
A versatile bay with a different wave for nearly all tides, check out the sandbar when it works at low, and Rotherslade shorey at high tide. RESPECT THE LOCALS AND BE RESPECTED.
Langland Boyo, Swansea
Locals are wankers far too clicky in my opinion they can keep the wave, it’s not better than Swansea leisure centre!
Vally Boy, porthcawl
Not a bad little wave, but i suggest if you are an extreme surfer or a risk analyst like myself Aberavon on high tide is the place to go!
Bodi, Aberdare
A great beach the best in my opinion. The wave can get equal to the best in the world. A very fast wave but very localised and crowded in the summer but the lifegaurds normally do a good job.
Sam, Swansea
If you don't like it, good. Stay away and we can have more waves!
Neil Newman, swansea
Langland suits me fine. When it is good it is wicked and when all the boys are there there is no better place, if you don't like then don't come. Caswell goes off!
Henry Adams, Swansea
The locals are really friendly offering advise to beginners like me and I am from England, but some f***er broke into my car!
Steve Jones , Port Talbot
A brilliant break for canoeists and body boarders. Oh and wave skiiers!
George, Swansea
I've had it really good here, reeling nicely off the reef but f**kin' hell, the locals need to mellow out!
Ratty, Brighton
Ben is absolutely correct, the locals have a major problem and in my opinion an inferiority complex. The ironic thing is that the majority of the so called 'rippers' can't 'rip' for shit and surf for totally the wrong reasons like trying to impress others and not get stoked. I surf here now and again and have frequently had run in's with locals especially one guy with a red board around 18. It's a good wave on its day but if this guy bothers you come to me, I'll sort him out!
SJ, Aberdare
The locals have a MAJOR attitude problem here! It's only a few tossers with no prospects in life giving the place a bad name putting wax on cars etc surfing is for EVERYONE!! Not just people with langland boyo as their nickname. The wave is good here!
Ben carroll, Bridgend/Maesteg
One word describes your general Langland line up "CROWDED"!
J, Gower
Don't get upset about localism 'cause you don't get any waves! Go and surf Caswell or the Shitpipe until you're good enough to mix it.
A local, Swansea
Hey c'mon guys Langland aint that bad! I've been surfing there for about 2 years now after surfing in Caswell for 3. Once you've been down there a few times and kept yourself to yourself people start talking to you, just know what your doing and dont drop in!
Gaz, Swansea
Bollocks to the localism, this place has a wicked wave and is well worth a few glances here and there. You just got to get on with it, keep your self to your self, dont drop in and wait your turn. It's allways fun to mix it a little every now and then, you no test the boundarys, some are all mouth and others mean business. Never had any real problems. then it does help if your as good as the locals!!!!!
Gary, South Devon
I know many of you reviewers aren't even 'locals'. The place has been ruined by you aggro wannabies!
NO use for one, Mumbles
If these local tossers are that narrow minded, I hope that when they surf outside of Langland everyone else gives them grief! Grow up lads.
Slacko, North Wales
Well the reef is pretty good on the inside the waves becomes relly fast and steep, sand bar is amazing love it to bits and also the lifeguards from Langland are really good, espesially Nia she's cool and knows her stuff, ask her for advise.
Steve, Swansea
Good spot in winter period but not very consistent beach break, the sand banks are always changing.
Free, Swansea
I'm local and still get **** from the guys who are never there when it gets over 4-5 foot. Always packed, even when it's crap. Try the main peak in the centre of the beach at low tide when it's 4ft plus. Super heavy and empty as all the locals will be on the inside break.
Andy, Swansea
There is a localism problem here which is suprising as lots of the breaks too the west are better. Although it is a decent break that is good on most tides, I'd say if you're bothering to travel there you may as well keep on going a bit further west where it's less crowded and better waves.
